As with most organisations, the ECB were keen to ensure that staff only had access to data within their areas of responsibility and wanted to have visibility of this. The project began with kick-off workshop to clarify the specific ECB requirements and priorities which were:
Following the implementation of the Data Access Governance (DAG) solution, bluesource and Torsion have now enabled users to intuitively apply their own time limits on sharing files internally and externally to users, and to easily view and run reports on who has access to what across the information estates they are responsible for, which is not easily done in native SharePoint.
As a result, ECB can empower its data owners to far better control and manage access to data on their SharePoint and OneDrive for Business resources.
