A Milestone in Clean Energy Transition

We achieved our goal of reducing carbon emissions from office energy to zero by switching to a 100% renewable electricity supply, certified by British Gas. This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to reducing our environmental impact and supporting the transition to clean energy.

Environmental

100% renewable electricity
Our UK electricity supply is backed by Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs) from natural renewable sources, verified by the Carbon Trust. This supports our move to renewable electricity and strengthens our ability to report progress against our environmental impact.
Hybrid and remote working
Hybrid and remote working, shared office spaces and digital collaboration help reduce unnecessary travel and resource duplication. These practices also support more flexible ways of working for our team and customers.
Paper-free working and responsible recycling
We continue to promote paper-free working, responsible recycling, efficient office equipment and waste handlers that support zero-to-landfill aspirations.
EcoVadis benchmarking and reporting progress
We use EcoVadis as a platform to evaluate and report sustainability activity, while continuing to improve data collection and reporting as our operations develop.

EcoVadis Bronze 2026 and top 35% reference
In 2026, bluesource achieved an EcoVadis Bronze medal and was placed within the top 35% of companies assessed globally, reflecting progress across environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
UN Global Compact-aligned Sustainability Policy
Our Sustainability Policy has been rewritten to align with the United Nations Global Compact’s 10 principles, covering human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus
We maintain ISO 27001 certification and Cyber Essentials plus accreditation, reinforcing our commitment to data governance, risk management and protection against common cyber threats.
Responsible supplier and partner engagement
Where possible, we encourage suppliers and partners to adopt responsible environmental, social and labour practices, while recognising that some technical delivery requirements may require specific vendors or suppliers.

Social

Inclusive culture and updated EDI Policy
Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy has been updated for 2026 and aligned with the UN Global Compact principles on human rights and labour. It reinforces our commitment to dignity, respect, non-discrimination, reasonable adjustments and inclusive working practices.
People-first working environment
We aim to create an environment where employees feel respected, able to contribute their best and supported through fair employment practices, flexible working and inclusive communication.
Fredericks Foundation community support
Through our CSR and Sustainability commitments, bluesource supports local communities, including the Fredericks Foundation, whose mission is to provide access to small business loans for people excluded from mainstream credit, creating choice rather than charity.
People stories
We continue to highlight voices from across bluesource, including women in technology and leadership, to show the people behind our services and make our culture visible.
Kassandra and John
Our enhanced EcoVadis recognition represents our dedication to responsible business practices and the steps we’ve taken to strengthen our environmental and social impact.
We remain committed to pushing forward, learning, and improving year after year.
